Wales may see a little patchy drizzle or light rain at times, but nothing especially disruptive, and highs should sit near 20°C. Further north and west, the weather turns more unsettled. Northern Ireland starts damp, with rain around early in the day before conditions gradually improve. Northern England sees a mixture of cloud, showers and some brighter breaks, with the wettest spell most likely around the middle part of the day in the north-west and parts of the Pennines. The north-east should fare a little better later on, with some late-afternoon sunshine possible, though it will be breezy. Across Scotland, expect a blustery feel, especially in central and eastern areas. Rain is likely early on, with some brighter intervals developing later, but winds will be noticeable and temperatures generally around 19°C. So, in short: driest and warmest towards the south-east; breezy with showers further north and west; and worth keeping a waterproof handy if you’re heading out across the Midlands, northern England, Scotland or Northern Ireland.
