Friday 24th October Good morning, everyone, and welcome to your Friday forecast on this 24th of October 2025. Autumn is in full swing across the UK as we look forward to the day ahead. Starting in the south-east, it's a brisk yet bright day with no rain expected, and temperatures hovering around 13 degrees. Gentle winds should make for a pleasant if slightly crisp commute, so perhaps bring a light jacket. Moving into the Midlands, there's a dry day ahead as well, with plenty of sunshine expected, particularly in the morning. Here, temperatures will also remain in the more autumnal range, peaking just under 12 degrees. Over in Wales, prepare for a drizzly start to your Friday with showers tapering off as the day progresses. It’s a bit windy too, so do hold onto your hats if you're heading outdoors. As we head further north into northern England, expect some rain scattered through the day, particularly in the late afternoon and evening. The mercury will climb to around 12 degrees, so it might be one for the umbrellas in the north-east and north-west alike. In Scotland, a similar mix of showers and sunny spells is on tap, amidst cooler conditions than the southern parts of the UK. Temperatures will be struggling to reach double figures, so wrap up warmly if you're going out. Over in Northern Ireland, a mainly dry day awaits with just the odd brief splash of rain and some sunny interludes. Winds will add a bit of a chill, so a cosy jumper wouldn't go amiss. Finally, the south-west will see a patch of rain earlier in the day, but it should brighten up nicely, with the sun making a few appearances by late morning.
