Saturday 25th October Good morning! On this Saturday, 25 October 2025, we're shaping up for a quintessential autumnal day across the UK, with a mixture of blustery winds and spots of sunshine favouring much of the country. Let's start in southern England, where we’ll see a mild day with temperatures peaking just over 12°C. Rainfall is minimal here, although the winds could pick up a touch, so do hold onto that umbrella. By evening, expect a touch of sunshine lighting up the early dusk — perfect for any evening strolls. Moving into Wales, the pattern is similar, with gentle breezes making way for a partly cloudy sky. A nice bright start is promising, with temperatures slightly cooler, topping around the mid 11°C mark. Over in northern England and the Midlands, there's a chill in the air with highs just crossing the 10°C threshold. However, spots of sun will break through by mid-morning, particularly around 9 or 10 o'clock, so look out for those lovely blue patches. You may encounter a light shower, so a waterproof might come in handy if you're out and about. Scotland, including the central belt, is set to remain notably dry, with crisp, cool conditions and highs around 9°C. Although winds are more robust up here, it’s a great day to venture outdoors and perhaps enjoy a leaf-crunching walk. Over in Northern Ireland, it’s a tad wetter with more significant showery spells during the early hours, but conditions should brighten at times by the late morning. Highs rest at around 11°C, and a gusty breeze will likely accompany you throughout. Down in the south-west, it’s a touch wetter with rain during the early hours. However, as we make our way through the day, the weather gradually improves, offering some brighter intervals in the afternoon. Temperatures will gently rise to around 12.5°C. A gentle patchwork of sunshine and wind spreads over coastal areas, where brisk breezes add a cool edge to the air. For those by the sea, it’s nothing unusual for this time of year, but still inviting enough for a hearty coastal walk.
