Through the Midlands and Wales, it’s also looking largely dry. There’ll be a mix of cloud and brightness, with highs generally in the upper teens — comfortable rather than particularly warm. Winds will be moderate, so good drying weather if you’ve got washing out, but you may want a light layer if you’re out for long. Further north, across northern England, it turns cooler and breezier. Most places should avoid anything more than the odd spot of light rain or drizzle, but the wind will make temperatures in the mid-teens feel a little lower, particularly near exposed coasts and higher ground. Scotland also has a cool, brisk feel, especially across central and eastern areas, with temperatures mostly in the low to mid-teens. It should be mainly dry, but with plenty of cloud around and a fresh wind at times. For Northern Ireland, expect a rather cloudy day with a little light drizzle possible here and there, though totals will be very small. Highs will sit around the mid-teens, with a steady breeze adding to the fresh feel. So overall: dry for many, brightest and mildest towards the south, cooler and windier further north and west, with only patchy light rain in a few spots. Not a bad summer Saturday — just not one to rely on wall-to-wall sunshine everywhere.
