Today brings us a mostly calm day, with pleasantly mild temperatures and a touch of warmth in places. Let’s take a closer look at what the day has in store across the regions. In the south-east, temperatures are set to peak around 21°C, offering a delightful sunny day with gentle breezes. Perfect for those outdoor plans you might have! Very much the same story across the south-west, where it’s just a touch cooler but still dry and bright — a true Indian summer feel. Moving into Wales, expect highs nearing 21°C and plentiful sunshine. It’s a lovely day to catch some rays, especially during the morning hours, with winds remaining light. The Midlands will also be enjoying similar conditions, with sunshine generously scattered and temperatures comfortably in the upper teens to just over 19°C. Heading north to northern England, sunshine is expected to be more intermittent, especially come evening, though generally, it’s mild and mostly dry. However, folks near the coasts might notice it a little breezier with winds around 15 km/h. Into Scotland, and we’ve got some sunshine in the early parts of the day, though it may become a bit mixed later as clouds edge in. Still, it’s a dry day on the whole, with temperatures peaking at around 18°C. Over to Northern Ireland and the north-west, while it starts sunny, remember your umbrella if you're out and about in the early morning, as there's a bit of rain expected, especially around the middle of the morning. The rest of the day should remain dry, albeit a tad cooler at 18°C. In short, it’s a pleasant autumn day for the vast majority of us.
