Starting in the south-east, you're looking at a bit of a soggy start, with some light rain gracing morning commuters and a spot more later in the day. Heading through the Midlands and into northern England, it’s a similar story with rain early in the morning. But fear not, brighter spells should peep through as we get to the late afternoon, particularly in places nearer to the coast. Winds are moderate, just a gentle breeze, but enough to freshen things up. Wales appears to be having a damp start too, with showers lingering through the early hours, but a few dry periods are expected as we move forward. Pack a raincoat if you’re heading out. Down to the south-west, you'll also be dodging a few downpours particularly earlier on. Keep an eye on the skies, as conditions may improve slightly by mid-afternoon. Up in Scotland, you’ve got a bit of a treat today — plenty of sunshine breaking through fairly early on. Particularly in the central and northern parts, the sun will shine well into the late afternoon, making it a nice day for a stroll. Across to Northern Ireland, expect a dry and mild day, with sunshine popping out as we move into the evening. Winds are light, so it should feel quite pleasant if you're venturing outdoors. Lastly, coastal areas across the UK will have a mix of conditions; some wind but less rain, perfect if you’re planning a brisk walk by the sea.
