If you’ve got outdoor plans there, it’s worth keeping a waterproof close by, as the rain could be persistent enough to make things rather damp underfoot. Across Wales, the Midlands and northern England, expect a changeable day: cloudy spells, some showery rain or drizzle, and occasional brighter intervals. Northern England will feel on the cool side, with highs generally around 12°C, and the odd sharper shower could affect travel or outdoor events for a time. Scotland also has a cool, unsettled feel, with some rain or drizzle moving through, though there should be brief brighter windows, particularly earlier in the day in some central and eastern areas. Temperatures will be modest, mostly near 12°C at best. Northern Ireland looks rather damp at times too, with heavier drizzle or showery rain possible and a fresh breeze making it feel cooler than the thermometer suggests. Winds won’t be especially strong for most, but they’ll be noticeable in western and coastal areas. Overall, it’s a day for layers, patience between showers, and perhaps making the most of any brighter breaks when they appear.
