Saturday 28th June Hello and a very good morning to you on this fine Saturday, 28th June 2025. Let's take a look at what the weather holds across the UK today. Starting in the south-east, it's set to be a scorcher, with temperatures climbing to a high of around 28°C. There'll be plentiful sunshine throughout the afternoon, making it a splendid day for a summer barbecue or a relaxing day at the park. Moving north to the Midlands, you can expect a similarly warm day with highs peaking at around 27°C. A great day for those heading outdoors, as the skies remain clear and inviting. In northern England, we're looking at slightly cooler conditions with highs around the 24°C mark. It’ll stay wonderfully dry, making it ideal weather for a leisurely stroll or a spot of gardening. Over in Wales, after a damp start with an early sprinkle of rain, the skies will brighten significantly by mid-afternoon. Temperatures will be a more modest 22°C, so remember your umbrella if you're heading out early, but you can ditch it by the afternoon. Crossing into Scotland, it'll be a tad breezier with temperatures reaching around 20°C. The evening should bring some lovely sunshine, perfect for a late-day walk to unwind. Heading west to Northern Ireland, a similar story unfolds with a touch of rain possible but overall a fairly bright and pleasant end to the afternoon, with temperatures around 22°C. Lastly, down in the south-west, temperatures will be gentler at around 20°C. Although it's a day without rain, the slightly cooler temperatures and light winds make it a great day for a coastal walk. So all in all, a fine day to enjoy the best of what summer has to offer across much of the UK. Whether it’s enjoying the outdoors or simply relaxing in your garden, there's plenty to smile about.
