Wednesday 10th December Good morning! It’s Wednesday, the 10th of December 2025, and while winter is settling in across the UK, we've got a fairly mild day ahead by seasonal standards. Starting in the south-east, expect temperatures to be pleasantly mild for December, with highs around 13°C and fairly moderate winds. The skies should remain mostly clear, allowing for a bright day without the need for the brolly. In the Midlands and across to East Anglia, we’ll see similarly mild conditions, with temperatures nudging up towards 12°C. Winds are light, making it an excellent day for a brisk walk, though come evening, a drop in temperature will remind us it's still winter. Moving west to Wales and the south-west, there’s a touch of rain expected, particularly along the coastlines, where it might be a bit blustery at times. So, it might be wise to keep a waterproof jacket handy if you’re out and about. Meanwhile, in northern England, temperatures will hover around 11°C with occasionally gusty winds, especially near the coast. Despite the breeze, it should stay dry, and late-afternoon brightness will make for a more pleasant commute home. Turning to Scotland and Northern Ireland, expect temperatures in the single digits, around 10°C. A blustery day is on the cards, particularly around coastal and exposed areas, which might feel a bit nippy. However, dry skies prevail, which is always a welcome sight this time of year. Overall, a rather mild winter day across the board with plenty of dry spells and a few gusty breezes.
