Moving south to northern England, rain dominates early on but should ease as we head into the afternoon. The temperatures here will hover just over 10°C, so make sure to wrap up if you're venturing outdoors. As we travel further south into the Midlands, dry conditions prevail, with cloudy spells punctuating otherwise mild temperatures around 14°C. It’s a similar picture across much of Wales today, though a dash of late evening drizzle might attempt to make an appearance, so possibly worth planning any outdoor activities for earlier in the day. The south-west of England does have some rain lined up for the evening, particularly after a largely uneventful, grey day with highs around 15°C. Over towards the south-east, it remains dry throughout daylight hours but keep a brolly handy for later, as rain showers set in tonight. Turning our attention to Northern Ireland, you'll enjoy some sunshine this morning and mid-afternoon, a pleasant lull amidst the otherwise overcast atmosphere. Do keep an eye out for a brief shower near midnight tonight, though. Those along the eastern coast will notice a bit of sun breaking through by afternoon, though the high temperatures are mild compared to recent weeks. Light breezes might carry a chill, so layering is recommended.
