Beginning in the south-east, it's set to be a rather mild autumn day with temperatures climbing to about 15.5°C. Expect a generally dry day with just a hint of drizzle possible, and a gentle breeze to accompany your outdoor strolls. Heading into the Midlands, today's temperatures will be hovering around the mid-teens, with Birmingham possibly seeing some late evening drizzle. Aside from that, it should stay relatively dry, making it quite a good day for any afternoon errands or a bit of late autumn gardening. In northern England, we're looking at similarly mild conditions. There should be a fair amount of dry weather, although Newcastle may face some showers from late afternoon into the early evening. Otherwise, the day seems set to remain quite settled. Across into Wales, there's a distinct chance of some wet spells during the afternoon, so it's worth having a brolly at the ready if you're heading out after lunch. Temperatures will remain comfortably mild, around 13.6°C, though a bit of wind might make it feel cooler at times. Turning our gaze north to Scotland, it's a rather bright picture today. The eastern parts will see some sunshine peeking through this morning, and it seems we’ll manage to dodge most of the rain, with pleasant conditions continuing into the afternoon. Over in Northern Ireland, there’s the prospect of rain showers arriving late morning, potentially lingering into the afternoon. Despite this, there will be intermittent sunny spells throughout the day, softening the damp's edge somewhat. Finally, down in the south-west, rain is likely to make a more persistent appearance as we move into the late morning and early afternoon. However, temperatures will remain quite mild, hanging around the mid-teens. All in all, a rather mixed bag today, typically autumnal with mild temperatures and a bit of rain here and there.
